Dmitrij Kravcov – interior works supervisor at Zenko International. Dmitrij joined the company on December 2021, and he had not doubted his decision.
Dmitrij, can you tell us about your background and how you decided to join our team?
Well, I was working in the construction industry for several years and felt that I was not expressing myself at my best. I wanted to have more responsibilities, work with real professionals and be part of world-class projects. So I have received a recommendation to get in touch with Zenko International, and after a few interviews with the Human Resources manager, I got a job.
Why do you find this job interesting?
I enjoy working together with a team and communicating with different people. The dynamics at the site boost up the power, so it makes me confident to complete challenging tasks.
Which project is your favorite so far and why?
Probably, recently completed a project in Helsinki, Finland. Even if every ship-interior project is different and unique, I find this project more complex and non-conventional. It required a lot of internal communication, not only with our teams but as well as shipyard staff and end clients. Our task was to install the interior in most of the ship’s public areas. This job is much more difficult because there were a lot of design details that needed to be handcrafted on-site.
Do you prefer building cruise ships or smaller vessels?
Smaller vessels and mega yachts, definitely. The process of building is more difficult, and even small details has to be handled with special care. But the result is much extraordinary. In most smaller vessels, we need to install more different materials, so complexity of the project requires a lot of experience. At the same time, there are many opportunities for learning and improving on-site.
What is a good employer for you?
The one that takes care of and well maintains the working environment. Always listens and offers solutions no matter what.
Dmitrij, do you have any hobbies? How do you like to spend your free time?
I will not be an exception 😀 I like to play video games. Also, I am a nature lover, fishing is a big passion of mine. It is a relaxing hobby that trains your patience and boosts happiness levels when hooked. Together with my family, I enjoy exploring new and not yet discovered places.
How would you describe Zenko International in three words?
